All library patrons are required to fill out a patron registration card in person. The library card is free. Updating of contact information is a continual process.
The Laurens Public Library subscribes to a full Open-Access policy. Any person, regardless of place of residence is eligible for a library card. Library use privileges may be revoked for patron and/or household members for continued violation of Library regulations.
In order to use library services, patrons must remain in good standing. If a patron is not in good standing, his or her library card will be "blocked" until the account is brought back into good standing. "A patron in good standing” is defined as one without outstanding fines, fees or overdue materials. All patrons in good standing are eligible for free library services.
The number of checkouts to a new patron may be limited.
