About
In 1904 the citizens of Laurens voted to establish the Laurens Public Library. A Carnegie Building served the community from 1910 to 1975, when the current buliding was dedicated.
The Carnegie Building is now home to the Pocahontas County Historical Museum.
The Laurens Public Library is an active educational, social, and cultural institution in the Laurens community. At the close of fiscal 2019, our collection of adult and children's materials totalled 22,519. We recorded 39,190 circulations for the year.
